The XVII European Meeting on Glial Cells in Health and Disease, held from 8 to 11 July 2025 in Marseille, France, gathered nearly 1,500 scientists and physicians from around the world, making it the largest international conference focused on glial cell biology. The conference covered a wide range of cutting-edge topics, including glial cell physiology, neuroimmune interactions, and the roles of glia in neurodegeneration.
Pengwei received the Travel Award selected by the conference committee based on his scientific work. The travel award was only provided to 30 people over the world. His presentation sparked in-depth discussions with leading scholars and received widespread acclaim during the event.
